I painted this piece after my trip to Georgia O'Keeffe's home in NM, it is inspired by her many rock collections.
Object Series — This series explores everyday objects, plants and flora, and ancient symbols. When I feel creatively blocked I’ll spend some time painting these pieces to get back into a flow. I love the contrast of the black oil paint on the tea stained paper and the way the brushstrokes add texture to each piece.
